Abstract

Structural-strength tests of normalized steel of two building structures are presented. There is a plate girder bridge of mild steel in service since 1938 and a complex of five-cylinder tanks with capacity 1500 m3 each, constructed of low-alloy steel, in service since 1937. Chemical and mechanical tests in macro and micro structural range and additionally anneal steels from these structures. There are priority tests for such construction steel grades.
