Abstract

W artykule w skrócie przedstawiono historię, stan obecny i perspektywy rozwoju badań nieniszczących.

Non-destructive testing: history, current state and development directions

Abstract

In this paper an overview of the history, current state and prospects of development of non-destructive testing is provided. Their impact on improving the safety, the environment and human health was pointed out. It was also described that the non-destructive testing methods can be divided into several processes: a test (measurement), identification, a data collection, an information processing and algorithms of making decisions about the state of the tested object. All these operations are subject of continu- ous development.
